It is a little game we conservatives play with maddening frequency. The guess the party affiliation game isn't very challenging so it is ideal to be used as a drinking game.
It's time to play GUESS THE PARTY. The news media is shameless in its support of Democrats. If you doubt me, try playing GUESS THE PARTY for a year. You will find that whatever the transgression, real, manufactured, alleged or just the subject of gossip, the mainstream news media will identify the party affiliation of a Republican nearly 100% of the time. Not only will they identify the perpetrators party affiliation, but it will become a central theme of the story and will be used to taint other Republicans. If it is a Democrat transgressor, you will be hard-pressed to determine their party affiliation from any of the reporting. The MSM will do whatever is necessary to hide the party affiliation, and if that can't be done, they will ignore the story in its entirety. Look at Bob Filner, the longtime DEMOCRAT and mayor of San Diego. For over a week the national mainstream media completely ignored the story, hoping it would go away. As it got worse and worse it finally got national coverage, but the party affiliation was often left out of the report. The MSM couldn't say REPUBLICAN enough when talking about Larry Craig. They made up the whole 'Republican war on women' meme around Todd Aikin. So where is the same treatment for Democrats? That's right; it's not there. The mainstream media is not about reporting facts. The mainstream media exists to support the liberal political objectives of the Democrat Party
Update
Ding, ding, ding......We have another winner. DRINK!
An AP story on the Fox News website (fair and balanced) about disgraced former Detroit mayor Kwame Kirlpatrick being sentenced to 28 years for corruption. Ten paragraphs. That's 10 paragraphs into the story before there is a passing mention that Kilpatrick is a Democrat. CNN's report didn't mention his party affiliation at all. The New York Times gave far more column inches to the story than did the AP version, yet Kilpatrick's party affiliation was never once mentioned. Could it be that the media would rather not remind you that Detroit, a once-gleaming example of the power of unrestrained American capitalism, has been run into the ground by sixty years of Democrat leadership. The Democrats bled the golden goose dry and now Detroit looks like a third world craphole or the setting for some post-zombie-apocalyptic video game. Thanks, donkeys. Drink.
