What would Mexico do?

How Mexico treats illegal immigrants

Just remember this the next time you hear some Mexican politician complaining about American immigration policy. The Mexican government has encouraged illegal immigration into the United States for decades. Why would they do that? I guess it is easier to ship your restless, poor and disenfranchised to a neighboring country than it is to give up the benefits of a corrupt oligarchy. Mexico has fundamental, structural problems that ensure that there will always be a vast inequity between rich and poor. They lack a viable middle class and their poor have little opportunity to lift themselves from poverty. Mexican society is rife with corruption and the rule of law is tenuous, at best. A society such as this, combined with a high birth rate, is a recipe for revolution. The only thing that has prevented violent insurrection from spreading across the country is that Mexico encourages those likely to revolt to flee to America. We are the social safety valve for Mexico's failed economy. Mexico has vast petroleum resources, fertile land and natural resources, yet they are a poor nation. In spite of these gifts, Mexico is a typical third world country; racked by poverty, hopelessness, corruption and violence. Remunerations from Mexicans living in America is the greatest source of foreign revenue after petroleum sales. One tenth of all Mexicans have fled their country for the United States. If they actually cared for the people they represent, the Mexican government would be ashamed of these facts. They should be working night and day to create the conditions where the average Mexican citizen had the opportunities at home that they can now find only in America. But they don't. They take the easy route. They stay in power and enjoy the benefits of a corrupt government while they ship their problems across the border for somebody else to deal with.

It is time to do what is necessary to protect our borders and to force Mexico to deal with their own problems. The Mexican government fears this because they know what will result. They will be forced to address all those societal problems that they have ignored for decades.

Mexican immigration laws

Let's just be completely honest about this. Those who equate opposition to illegal immigration and amnesty to racism do so because they don't want and are unable to debate the issue honestly and logically. It is much easier to win an argument by claiming that your opponent is a racist. There are numerous reasons why any sovereign nation should and must control its borders immigration into its territory. Mexico understands this. Their constitution and immigration laws are much more severe than ours, but all you hear from the pro-amnesty crowd is that America is racist for not wanting uncontrolled borders. It is time to deal with this issue logically, based on factual evidence.

So, when Mexico secures its southern border it's OK, but when we secure our southern border it's raaaaaacist

Hey, Mexico.  STFU!
