Hey kids! Let's play the sequester game

Obama uses sequester to leave border open
Thanks to all the idiots who voted for this criminal. This is what you get - a petty tyrant who punishes his subjects when he doesn't get his way.
There are literally thousands of federal programs that should be cut before you start cutting the funding for the CBP. We spend billions on 'green energy' programs that provide absolutely no return on investment (other than generous campaign contributions to Obama). Over 40% of the $2.2B Obamaphone program is wasted in fraud. The endemic fraud that plagues Medicare/Medicaid could pay for the entire CBP budget for years. There are too many examples of waste and fraud in the federal budget to even document. The federal budget was increased by almost $800B in Obama's first year in office and it has grown each year since then. They are spending almost a trillion dollars more per year now than they did in 2008, yet Obama can't accept a 2% cut to the rate of increase. Not a budget cut; just a cut to the rate of increase in the federal budget. Doesn't anybody get it? It's not that hard to understand. We are borrowing 41 cents of every dollar the federal government spends, and the budget has increased by a third over 2008 level, but they can't make any cuts without endangering our safety and security? That is wrong. These politicians are buying votes with taxpayer money and then they punish the taxpayers when they demand some sort of fiscal discipline. That is not representative government; it is tyranny.

Airport officials contradict Napolitano's sequester claims
The grand lie that the mainstream news media is perpetuating about the sequester 'cuts' has gone from simple partisanship to the absurd. They will literally report anything that the administration claims, regardless of facts. In 2008 the federal budget grew by almost a trillion dollars due to the stimulus and TARP. Thanks to baseline budgeting, that trillion dollar increase and a growth factor have been part of all subsequent budgets. Actually, there have been no subsequent budgets. The Democrat-controlled Senate has refused to do their constitutional duty and pass a budget for 1400+ days. Instead, they have just passed one continuing resolution after another. The $776B stimulus did nothing to bring about an economic recovery, but it has been, in effect, repeated every year since. Every year since 2008 the federal budget has been almost a trillion dollars larger than in 2007. That is a massive increase in federal spending. It is so large that we have had budget deficits in excess of $1 Trillion every year since 2008. So the budget is almost one trillion dollars larger than it was in 2007, but $45 billion in cuts is going to cause this massive disruption that the jackasses in the media have been braying about? That doesn't make sense. The sequester doesn't even reduce federal spending. Even after the sequester the federal government will spend 2% more this year than last. There were no cuts; only a reduction in the rate of increase. Everything you are hearing about the economic devastation caused by the sequester is a bald-faced lie. Obama proposed the sequester as a political poison pill. The defense cuts would be used to persuade Republicans to accept tax increases (which they did in January) and if they didn't go along with more tax increases they would be blamed for reduced federal services. It's win-win as far as Obama is concerned. He gets to blame the Republicans regardless of the outcome. Let's not forget that it is the executive branch (ie Obama) who decides what gets cut in the sequester (yeah, I know that's not constitutional, but when has that stopped Obama?). Rather than cutting from the trillion dollars in fluff that was added in the 2008-2012 budgets, he chose to cut defense and other high-profile services. This is a political move; not a sound budget policy. They Constitution tasks the government with providing for our national defense; not food stamps and Obamaphones. The cuts in the rate of increase could have been made in any of the hundreds of thousands of non-essential government programs, but instead, they targeted defense for half the cuts. That is the clearest example ever of placing politics ahead of constitutional duty. Everybody responsible for this crime against our nation must be made to pay. Obama and the Democrats brought us to this place, but the Republicans have not done their duty and fought against it. Both are to blame. We are $16T in debt and that will increase to over $20T by 2016. We have over $100T in unfunded liabilities hanging over our heads. Government spending and regulation is choking our economy. Government spending is now almost half of our gross domestic product. Medicare and Social Security are Ponzi schemes that will collapse in the near future. NONE OF THIS IS SUSTAINABLE. And we have the president and his propagandists in the news media telling us that we can't even slow the rate of increase of the federal budget without disrupting the economy. THEY ARE LYING. If slowing the rate of growth will supposedly cause such pain and heartache, what do you think the people of this country will do when the government checks stop coming in the near future?
