'Phony' scandals

Obama and his lackeys have been trying to dismiss Benghazi as a phony scandal.  Four dead, numerous wounded, destroyed consulate, classified information compromised, massive cover-up, and a prisoner of conscience....yeah that's a phony scandal.

For twenty one days the administration claimed that the attack on the Benghazi consulate was a spontaneous response to a YouTube video. Everybody in the chain of command, from the dead ambassador to the brain-dead president knew it was an al Qaeda attack within hours of the first shots being fired. In spite of this, the Administration continued to mislead the public for three weeks. After finally admitting that it was a terrorist attack the Administration then began lying about misleading the public. That has been going for 10 months now. The president supposedly told the SECDEF at 5pm to take whatever action necessary to protect American personnel in Benghazi. He then disappeared and had no contact with anybody from State or the DoD for the rest of the evening. There were forces available in Europe and the Med to rescue the personnel in Benghazi, but they were not given authorization to do so. This was not an AFRICOM decision. This was not a DoD decision. This was a presidential decision. Had Obama actually given the order for the military to protect the personnel in Benghazi there would have been SOCOM forces in Benghazi. That never happened, so that means that Obama lied when he said that he gave orders to the military to protect the personnel in Libya. The blatant lies coming from the administration caused the Libyan transitional government to limit cooperation with the US. As a result, it took weeks to get FBI investigators on site. In that time classified material was left accessible in the consulate. Those are all REAL scandals, Barry. Don't insult us with your petulant dismissals of legitimate concerns. You left Americans to die while you went to sleep. You left Americans to die as you jetted off to Vegas for a fundraiser. That is inexcusable.


Obama's Benghazi cover-up

Why the cover-up? I know that when this gets too big for even the mainstream media to ignore the real reason will come out. The Administration will undoubtedly claim that national security secrets were at stake and that drove them to cover up what happened. Of course that would be a load of bullsh!t, just as the claim of protecting ongoing investigations was used to cover up information relating to the Fast and Furious scandal. So what's the worst case legitimate scenario that would call for the Administration to engineer this type of cover-up? Probably an attempt to hide that the Administration was working with al Queda-linked groups to covertly move arms to the FSA in Syria. Well that story got out months ago, so why continue to stonewall? The Administration has announced that they are arming the Islamist militants fighting in Syria. They know public disclosure that they were arming the FSA months before publicly admitting it isn't going to cause a scandal. Between the lack of interest and ignorance of the low-information-voters and the mainstream media spinning for them, the Administration has to know that this wouldn't become a problem.

So what is it that could possibly be revealed that would make Obama look bad enough to warrant the full-blown cover-up? Huh? Could it be because Obama deliberately withheld military forces for any rescue attempt and thereby condemned the personnel at the consulate to death? Now THAT might have some impact on the voters in the upcoming mid-terms. That is what all the available evidence points to. Less than 2 hours into the attack on the consulate Obama had a scheduled meeting with SecDef, Leon Panetta. He had no further briefings that evening. Officials from State, DoD and the CIA have all testified that nobody briefed or discussed the attack with Obama for the rest of the evening. That in itself is disturbing. A diplomatic mission was under attack, contact with the ambassador was lost and the president just checks out for the evening without bothering to see what the outcome was. Was the situation room activated? Did the president receive any additional updates? Did Obama issue any orders and, if so, were they documented? The Administration has not provided that information, even though they said that they would. A couple of months into the stonewalling they claimed that they had to go through a lot of documents and logs to figure out what happened. Still waiting, months later.

The president claims that he gave orders to find out who was responsible and "directed my Administration to provide all necessary resources to support the security of our personnel in Libya..." The events directly contradict that statement. Forces were available to go to Benghazi, rescue the personnel and stabilize the situation. Obama claims that he gave that order, but, if so it was never carried out. The State Department refused requests for support from FIST team and Panetta refused to send the CIF or any other assets to respond. Did State, DoD and the CIA all just ignore the president's orders and refuse to provide the support that Obama claims he ordered? If that is the case then why is it that nobody at State, DoD or the CIA was disciplined or fired. And if any or all of these agencies refused to carry out the orders that Obama claims he gave, then why didn't he say anything about the gross act of insubordination or dereliction of duty? Obama is no stranger to publicly throwing underlings under the bus if they cause him any embarrassment. Why not in this case? Could it be that Obama didn't actually give an order to protect the personnel at the consulate? Could it be that the Libyans weren't happy with the idea of armed Americans flying into their territory and, out of fear of offending the people attacking our consulate Obama just abandoned our people to their fate?

Why are the CIA personnel who were there being held in virtual exile? Why the extraordinary measure to make sure that they don't talk? They aren't just being kept from the media, they are being kept from Congressional investigators. And what of AFRICOM, General Carter Ham being relieved? The word on the street is that he notified DoD that he had forces immediately available to rescue the personnel in Benghazi, but was told to stand down. Supposedly he wanted to go ahead with the extraction anyway and was immediately relieved of command.

Every bit of information out there points to one inescapable conclusion; Obama had forces available to respond to the attack, but, for one reason or another, he chose to not send them in. He willfully left Americans to die at the hands of terrorists. And to make matters worse, after making this decision he went to sleep and then the following day flew to Vegas for a fundraiser. Yeah, I guess depraved indifference might not look real good going into the mid-terms.

Phony scandal?  This is a phony administration exercising phony oversight by conducting a phony investigation and producing phony accountability.

The State Department's whitewash of the Benghazi debacle

The Obama Administration ignores the ambassador's pleas for more security at the Benghazi consulate, ignores their calls for help when attacked and ignores the injured and the dead for almost a day and nobody is held accountable. The arrogance shown by this action is stunning. The knowledge that the news media will never hold you accountable for anything must be heady stuff. You can do anything with impunity. The old saying "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely" is perfectly displayed here. Without any threat of the mainstream media reporting the truth there is no incentive for the government to do the right thing.

And don't think this is an isolated event. The BATFE deliberately allowed thousands of weapons to be delivered to the Mexican drug cartels with no means of tracking and it resulted in several hundred Mexican citizens and two U.S. federal agents being killed. The mainstream media has almost completely ignored this story. Nobody has been punished, except the BATFE whistle-blowers who brought this crime to light. The Obama Administration gave nearly a billion dollars in grants and loan guarantees to green energy companies, the majority of which gave donations to the Obama campaign. Many of the loan guarantees given to Obama's supporters did not meet DoE guidelines or even basic financial common sense tests. Many of these companies have since filed for bankruptcy. The evidence of their shaky finances and faulty business models was available to the DoE personnel who granted the loans, but payback of political donors was more important. Nobody has been held to account for this either. An Army psychologist who is open in his support for jihad, communicates with a known al Queda operative who is under surveillance and insults and berates his patients - American soldiers suffering from PTSD - is promoted and then murders 14 in a terrorist attack and it is treated as some sort of isolated act of workplace violence. His Army superiors knew about it and did nothing. The FBI knew about his contact with Anwar al Awlaki and did nothing. Nobody who could have stopped this terrorist did so; due to political correctness. Nobody has been held accountable. The Russian security service notified the FBI that the Tsarnaev brothers had been radicalized. The FBI did nothing but a few acts of Muslim outreach. Nobody was held to account. The president violates immigration law....no consequences. The president violates the 'Affordable Health Care Act' multiple times.......no consequences. No matter what happens, what laws are broken, or how many people die there is NEVER any accountability.

Democrats refuse to hear testimony from parents of the heroes of Benghazi

This is the Democratic Party. Cowardly liars who put their political fortunes ahead of everything else. A Democrat administration failed badly at foreign policy and providing basic security for American government and contractor personnel working in a dangerous country. What is worse, the Democrat administration then lied to the American public and the families of those who were killed in order to maintain a shameless cover-up. This cover-up was not carried out in the name of national security, but in an effort to protect the president from bad publicity in the run up to the election. The Democrat Senate Majority Leader participated in this cover up by not allowing the Senate to investigate the matter. Democrat representatives have also done everything they could to to interfere with the investigation in the House. And now, when it comes time to actually face the parents of the brave men who died fighting to protect our personnel in Benghazi, the House Democrats don't even have guts to do so. This is just appalling. They don't even have the common courtesy to sit there and listen to their statements. The Obama administration left our people to die in Benghazi. They could have made an attempt to save them, but did NOTHING. Since then, Democrats have done nothing but lie to protect Obama and Clinton. This is shameful. This is the Democratic Party.
