Explosive growth of Medicaid

In 2008, Obama said he wanted to fundamentally transform the United States. Well, it looks like he's done just that. Obamacare, the excessive and politically motivated regulatory burden, disruption of domestic oil production and willful mismanagement of the US economy has helped bring about this transformation. By keeping the economy from recovering he has forced many more Americans into government dependence. The Medicaid growth is just one factor. A record 47 million people are on food stamps and the administration is still actively recruiting more recipients throughout the US and even Mexico. Over 180,000 Americans go on disability every month now. Disability has become the fallback for those whose unemployment benefits have expired. The growth of the dependency culture is destructive to the very founding principles of our nation. We cannot have limited government when a growing portion of the population depends on the government for survival or maintenance of it's lifestyle. What the Democrats are pushing is not government compassion for the poor; it is a political tactic to inculcate a culture of dependency on the American people.


Judge cites pressure to approve disability claims

The Social Security Administration is bending over backwards to approve as many disability claims as possible even though it KNOWS that there is not enough money to pay all these claims. Why would any government agency deliberately abuse the taxpayers like this? There is no logical reason. Americans didn't suddenly become a nation of cripples. This is quite obviously an intentional effort driven by the administration. They want unemployment numbers down, but they are doing everything possible to sabotage the economy. If you take people out of the workforce and make them disabled you no longer have to worry about those troublesome numbers. The workforce has shrunk by two million since 2008. Oddly enough, the disability roles have increased by 2 million. If all those people were still listed as being unemployed the U6 unemployment rate as reported by the BLS would be over 10%. The problem here is that the government only pays unemployment for 2 years. We will be paying for these phony disabled forever. SSID was projected to become insolvent by 2017 before this massive shift of unemployed to the ranks of the disabled. This deliberate bankrupting of SSID is being done for no reason other than to give the Obama Administration lower unemployment numbers to campaign on. Obama reaps the benefits while we foot the bill. This is criminal.
