The liberal suicide pact - California's sad decline

Liberals destroying a once-vibrant economy in quest for the socialist Utopia

CARB hostile to business

The un-elected California Air Resources Board is probably the single most destructive force in California........and that includes earthquakes, wildfires and storms. At least you can rebuild after an earthquake. When CARB kills a business it stays dead. First you had AB32 and now you have this abomination. All in the name of stopping global warming; a fraud that has been debunked. There hasn't been any warming in over a decade and there is no scientific proof of anthropogenic climate change that stands up to honest scrutiny. Climate scientists are quietly slinking away from their previous association with this fraud, but not liberal politicians. Leftist politicians are more than happy to use this discredited fraud in order to exact revenge on the things they hate; industry and capitalism. These people are willfully doing great damage to the California economy and they think that is a good thing.
I'm glad I got out of California when I did.

The crazy is spilling across California's borders

The idiotic voters in California brought this on themselves and now they need to feel the pain; not inflict it on other states. Just because the voters of California made an emotional decision without regard for the fiscal consequences, egg ranchers and consumers in other states shouldn't be forced to pay the price. Proposition 2 mandated new regulations for confinement of certain poultry and livestock. It did not specify that eggs sold in the state must be from ranches the met this new standard. The idiot voters of California were more concerned with chicken accommodations than the very obvious result; increased price. This is the law of unintended consequences that always bedevils the liberals. They vote based on emotional concerns and never think of the financial, legal or social consequences. Well this is just one more example where a little thought and the application of logic would have told those voters that the law would necessarily cause the costs of egg producers to dramatically increase. It is simple economics. Smart people take such things into account before voting. Idiots get all weepy-eyed over the plight of the chickens. Now the laws of economics will tell the most casual observer that if costs for the California egg ranchers is dramatically increased then out of state egg producers can provide eggs at a cheaper price. This will obviously hurt California egg producers. The logical thing to do would be to get rid of the ill-conceived law so California egg producers are not hurt and California consumers save money. Of course, that's not what the People's Republic of California does. California is trying to force other states to abide by the same costly, unnecessary requirements of the California law. This will force increased costs on out of state egg producers which will then have to be passed onto their customers. Why should other states have to pay for the ill-advised actions of Californians? It is time for California to pay the price for its foolishness. Excessive and just plain stupid regulations are destroying California's economy. These are self-inflicted wounds. They shouldn't hurt other states. Californians will not fix the problem until they feel the pain from their own actions. Stupid hurts. Stupid should hurt. That's how we are supposed to learn. Ill-advised actions cause pain. You then relieve the pain by doing the right thing instead. Why is it that California and the other liberal states seem to be immune from learning these lessons?
