Global warming as faith

I've been saying this for years. This behavior is not just confined to the cult of anthropogenic global warming, but also much of the environmental movement. And those pale in comparison to the Utopian cult of Marxism and its derivative ideologies (I'm talkin' about you, liberals). These people think nothing of abandoning the basic energy sources and industries that have brought about the greatest standard of living the world has ever known. This is due to the undeserved sense of moral and intellectual superiority that the AGW cultists posses. This sense of righteousness precludes any examination of or care for the real world impact of their plans. We have seen this many, many times before. Think of the New York Time's Pulitzer Prize-winning Moscow bureau chief, Walter Duranty. A true believer, he was so enamored with the promise of Utopian equality of Stalin's Soviet Union, that he deliberately ignored the brutal starvation of millions of Ukranians and the horrors of the gulags. These people have proven that they are more than capable of ignoring just about any level of human suffering or deprivation if it conflicts with their ideology.


EPA will bypass Congress to fight global warming

No documented global warming since the mid 90's but that doesn't stop the fanatical Anthropogenic Global Warming cultists. They are determined to destroy our economy in the name of stopping global warming......which doesn't exist. The fact that the most accurate temperature measurements available have shown no warming since '95 doesn't deter them. The fact that solar activity appears to be the most likely determinant of climate doesn't deter them. The fact that we are entering a solar minimum that may actually lead to global cooling doesn't deter them. If all that science doesn't deter them then why should the Constitution deter them.
