It would be nice if the Undersecretary of the Navy was actually qualified. How in the hell does running a small liberal arts college make you in any way competent to lead the Navy and Marine Corps? She may not know a damned thing about the Navy/Marine Corps but I'm sure she can be counted on to zealously inflict liberal social engineering at the behest of the president. If he needs votes from women or gays she'll be right on it. Maintaining the readiness and force posture of the Navy and Marines.....eh, who cares.
