By any means necessary....

Democrat politicians abusing their authority to stifle dissent.

This is a hallmark of the liberal movement. "By any means necessary" has gone from a pithy motto to standard operating procedure. They publicly brag about their tolerance and bringing transparency to government, but when they need to get their legislation passed, all that goes out the window. They arbitrarily change the established rules, ignore legislative procedure and law and actively suppress their opponents. This happened with the Obamacare and numerous budget bills at the federal level. With Obamacare, a 2300 page bill was brought to the floor for a vote with less than a day for members to study. Is it no wonder they keep finding unknown provisions as that law starts to be implemented? The Senate Dems have not brought a budget to the floor in over 1400 days, violating the Constitution and depriving Americans of a proper budgeting process. Wherever Democrats are in charge they do this. I have personally witnessed just such a sham here in California. Laws that are not supported by the people are enacted by legislative fiat, not legal or established practice. The voice of the people has been stifled over and over by liberals who will do anything to achieve their goals.

The real danger here is what this means to our country. What will the people do when they begin to realize that their voices are being silenced, when their votes mean nothing, when the people who are supposed to represent them are in fact actively working against them? The rule of law is what has kept our society civilized. When people know that their vote counts, that their representatives represent them and that their voice will be heard they can live peacefully together with others. When people come to the conclusion that they have no say in what their government does, they will no longer submit to the laws of that nation. We are rapidly approaching that point. Unfortunately, the liberals are so determined to ram through their policies they are blind to the consequences. Civil order relies on the people and their elected representatives respecting the laws and trusting the process by which laws are created. Civil society will fall like a house of cards if this trust is lost.
