Hope......not a strategy

This about sums it up. They teach you in the military that hope is not a viable tactic or strategy. You must evaluate your intelligence and make realistic plans, based on your capabilities as well as those of your advesaries. And every plan must have options to deal with unforeseen threats. Obama's entire foreign policy was based on a presumption that other countries hated us because of George Bush and an imagined history of imperialism. That was more a projection of his own beliefs than reality, but no matter; forge ahead with the Apology Tour. Obama thought that he could win the hearts and minds of the rest of the world by apologizing for American actions and not being George Bush. That hasn't worked so well. All Obama has done is show the world, through his appeasement and inaction, that we are weak. Weakness always invites aggression. Obama's weakness has spurred dictators and thugs around the world to take action wile they know there is little chance of a meaningful response by the United States. China, Russia, Venezuela, North Korea, Al Queda, the Muslim Brotherhood.....all have tested him and found Obama weak. Just as in the Carter years, American weakness has led to a dramatic increase in global instability.
